Mechanisms and Actuators
Mechanisms are systems that convert input forces into desired output forces. Actuators are devices that convert some type of stored energy into motion. Examples of mechanisms include keyboard keys, camera shutters, see-saws, and more. The three types of actuators include Pneumatic Actuators, Electric Actuators, and Hydraulic Actuators.
