Second Order Effects’ risk mitigation review is a proactive technical assessment designed to find "unknown unknowns" in your avionics. We partner with teams before critical milestones, such as PDR and CDR, to assess and quantify the risks that threaten mission success.

GETTING STARTED
In most cases, our service will follow this flow:
Intake and scoping call
We’ll meet with your team to understand the scope, objectives, and constraints of the review.
Design review engagements start at $15,000, scoped to your system complexity, applicable standards, and program timeline.
Quote and material handoff
Following the intake call, we’ll deliver a detailed quote for the review. Once approved, we’ll schedule a working session with the review team to ingest design materials.
Review and technical exchange
Our engineers conduct the review. When needed, the review will include back-and-forth communication with your team to clarify assumptions, fill gaps in documentation, and gather additional context as needed.
Findings and detailed report
At the conclusion of the review, we deliver a detailed report outlining key findings, risks, and actionable recommendations.
Review closeout call
We’ll walk through the results together in a follow-up meeting, discuss our recommendations, and answer any questions to ensure clarity and alignment on next steps.
